My Story
I’m originally from San Diego, California, but Portland has become home for me. I love exploring the Pacific Northwest and spending time outdoors, especially hiking and cycling. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends and being part of the community. What I love most about living in Portland is the opportunity to connect with both nature and a vibrant, welcoming community.
Treatment Philosophy
I believe people are inherently relational and that healing is deeply connected to our relationships with ourselves and others. From an attachment and systems perspective, I understand many of the patterns that create distress as adaptations that developed within the context of our relationships, families, culture, and life experiences. Therapy can offer an opportunity to better understand these patterns, develop greater self-awareness and compassion, and create new ways of responding.
My approach is integrative, attachment-based, and trauma-informed, drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment and systems theories, CBT, DBT, psychodynamic and humanistic approaches, and mindfulness. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling understood and accepted. Mindfulness can help us become more curious and present with our emotions and experiences, creating space to respond with greater intention rather than being driven by familiar patterns.
I have a particular passion for working with couples and individuals experiencing relational distress, understand the emotional patterns that develop between them. I believe that beneath conflict and disconnection are often deeper needs for safety, connection, reassurance, and being known. Relationships have tremendous potential to foster healing and resilience when partners are able to develop greater emotional accessibility, responsiveness, and security.
Across my work with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, eating disorders, and emotion regulation difficulties, I strive to create a warm, collaborative environment where clients feel respected, empowered, and supported in making meaningful and lasting change. I see therapy as a collaborative process of developing greater self-understanding, connection, and freedom to live in ways that feel authentic and meaningful.
